Hi Folks I am new here ! I heard of this site watching a utubed Bill Hillhouse video.(very very good instructor I must say ,wish I lived closer)

Pictured above is my 12 year old son in his 5 th year of pitching . He did very well with accuracy last year in house league (previous years played HL) This year he tried out and made a rep team (travel for those not familiar with the term rep) He throws at Min every other day .but has gotten out of his form somehow with all his practice .I have lost his ear and he is no longer listening to me . He is not only struggling with up and down but sometimes losing the ball out of his hand .I can see some of his form inconsistentcies but maybe someone here can detect issues from the pictures above?

I had played fastball from 5 years old until I was 35 .Pitched as a kid but not at the mens level.I was a lead off batter and tried very hard to recognise what certain pitchers did to be a successful batter ,so based on that info that ishow I taught him to pitch initially (watching other pitchers) any critique or suggestion on being consistent ,drills etc would be appreciated !!

In boys fast pitch, is he allowed to have both feet off of the ground, at the same time? (pic 4)

So, missing high and low is a release problem. Have him pitch into his own glove, like Hillhouse teaches. The release of the ball is at the back hip, generally.

Bend the elbow, slightly, to get the whip. Do not straight arm the pitch.

What pitches is he learning? Are you in the U.S.?

no Ontario Canada , fastpitch is the most popular here rise ,drop , change

First of all, this pitching motion looks very advanced for his age. Its clear that someone is putting time in with him. In the second post, i see a couple of things that i would like to see in motion. First of all, is the issue of the ball not facing 3b at the 9 o'clock position. Which someone addressed. Secondly, the glove hand seems to be pulling to 1b. Hard to tell hoe much with the images.
Finally, there seems to be a forced correction of the leading leg straightening. By that i mean, is he intentionally forcing his leading leg straight? Notice the difference in balance between images 5 and 6. It seems that his hips being forced back which throws his balance to the left. In image six, it seems that he is falling to the left.
Just my two cents. Its worth what you paid for it. There are ppl way more intelligent here to answer your concerns.
Keep him in it. It's encouraging to see.

Do you happen to have a video? I see a pretty straight arm and the hand on top of the ball at about 10 o'clock. I'm hoping that video, or a still shot at about 8 o'clock will show palm up and elbow flexed...
