No, I couldn't afford to send mine across the country like that even if she became that good. That girl is a legit 67 consistently.

I wasn't that impressed with many of them by the video either but it sure looks like OU was impressed with several of them.

I am impressed with all of them, they are getting to play at really good schools and no doubt had to work really hard to get there. While they don't look that smooth, they are also really young and will no doubt get better at the next level.

But remember, sometimes it how big mom and dad's check books are. I'm sure my dd could run with any of these girls. I myself don't have the money, to send her all over the country. Yes these girls have talent, I won't say they don't, but in the end money can help big time to be seen, by the right people.

I think you posted video of your DD last year. If my memory is correct I remember being impressed so I wouldn't say she couldnt run with them, but that is a compliment to her not a detraction from these girls. There is definitely a grooved path from the orgs these girls play for to both give them a lot of exposure and to get them recruited to big schools. No doubt that path is paved green. but that is no different than just about everything else in life. That decreases opportunities for sure BUT in my experience, girls like your daughter that are not given every opportunity tend to grow up to be people that both appreciate the opportunities they are given and capitalize on them better.

Wow - I just identified a pitcher on that list that we are very familiar with that convinces me that my DD has the talent to be on that video. That's good enough for me just knowing that.

Cat ISN'T illegal for the league she is pitching in which is why no one needs to say it.

International/NPF allow leaping.

I knew that about INT but not about NPF. But I DON'T think that is the reason she (still had that leap back in college btw) or Abbot (gym stepper in college and now) get a pass on IP squawking. I think they are/were so good, that criticism of their flaws would be petty. If anything the folks that are so militant with IPs would criticize them for setting a bad example currently whether it is illegal or not in their league. Nevens is playing for team USA now and she is still getting grief. If she was as good as Cat or Monica I don't think there would be a peep. The criticism is about as inconsistent as the enforcement.
