I think now... that the tight 12/6 overrides the directional aim... and still holds up when gravity pulls the ball down. It flutters the ball...as the forces compete.... more Magnus area w/2 seam.

Awesome Video supplements to this thread.

I guess the explanation is 2 seam dominance & Fingers???.... not turning the wrist, 9-3...ect.

the twist down the backside is the twist of the shoulders and hips to allow you to throw across your waist, pocket to pocket. if there is no twist then it is very difficult to get the correct spin on the ball, which is 9-3 from the pitchers perspective.

i think that alot of people in this thread are confusing palm up vs palm down curve.

BM's corkscrew curve spins 9-3 from pitchers perspective, but breaks outside to the right handed hitter.

Is it a good screw ball ?

I would say so but I am sure many here will disagree. They think the pitch doesn't exist. I just call it a bullet spin breaking fastball. The crowd seems to like that term better. Whatever it is....it works if you can throw it fast.

Cape Cod Mass.
I saw that pitch and it caught my attention, it seemed to be the only one she threw like that. The replay looks like it is mostly bulletspin. Bulletspin with specific seam orientations can break.
