She looks pretty good to me. The only thing i would mention is the forward lean/bending at the waist upon delivery. Be sure to get that front side resistance. Im far from an expert but she looks very good.

Do you see how she is leading with her chest, on delivery? With a 12yo I want everything lined up, above the power line. That means not letting the glove fly to the left and not letting the right shoulder lead.

The problem with a commercial pitching carpet, is that the power line goes down the middle of the plate, it needs to go straight out from her right foot. She is trying her best to get to the power line that was dictated for her and it isn't working.

I was going to say almost the same thing.

If she can work on a better plant and balance on landing she could be a beast.

Thanks everyone! That's what I was seeing too - better plant foot and needs to work more on glove arm as well- she used to bend even more at the waist so I can at least see her improvement!

She does a lot of things well. But, you asked for help, and it doesn't do you or her much good to talk about how well she throws.

She needs to work on front side resistance.

Look at the sequence from 10 to 8. Pay special attention to her head. There are some nicely positioned tiles which shows how much her head shifts forward.

It looks to me like she is coming forward about 12 inches with her head and shoulders.

She is lunging or "pecking" with her head and upper body.

Front side resistance includes the leading leg *and* the torso, to form solid resistance for the throw.

Your DD isn't doing this, so she is losing some speed.

Additionally, she seems to be off balance at the end. She seems to be "catching herself" with her right leg when she ends her throw. Has someone taught her to bring the right foot around so that it is in front of the left foot?

Also, she needs to be bringing the glove down to the inside of left leg.

From my non-expert eyes I see that she looks pretty darned good. In my opinion, I think her shoulders need to stay more in-line with the target going into release. I think it's likely due to the glove flying outward a bit.

Ray has performed a great service with these still pics relative to her front side resistance.
The landing (left pic) is great; the middle pic is as far as her upper torso should move forward....get it to firm up and hold in this posture and she will improve significantly.
Keep up the good work.......if you conquer the front side resistance she will be well on her way to excellence.
