I do like her "hips....hips...ear....back to the hips" cues. HOWEVER, I dislike the "I finish back to my ear on the fastball." I also dislike the that she says, "...you want to make sure your arm is able to be as long as possible..." Anyone who understands the whipping action of the arm knows that to create maximum speed, the arm cannot be as long as possible when it's coming down the back side.

Okay, one more thing I like.... She sure is beautiful, so I must be completely wrong.

Is guess that implies if the arm is long as possible, it would have to be totally straight. HMMM. My humble and best tip is to always apply the "Hansen Principle".

Are you saying she's getting these advertising gigs because she's beautiful, and not because of her superior teaching ability?

Question: How come if Jennie thinks and teaches a locked elbow, long arm, HE finish style and then gets great whip and I/R when she actually pitches, seemingly without knowing it; it is so hard to teach my 10U proper mechanics when I and her PC are actually instructing *exactly* what to do?

My oldest loves Jennie, but also laments that Jennie is a poor role model for her "species" (species being blond, which my daughter is as well and gets quite a bit of flack for it).

The Finch Osterman era did wonders for marketing fastpitch. Long, tall, slim, beautiful young ladies, with talent to boot, yep!! Even if you know little about softball, most know those names and faces.
