I would have her throw on a downhill grade like off a baseball mound. This will get weight back and she will get feeling of front side resistance.

I would think she would need some what of a rearward tilt. I'm no expert hence the question.
The reason for my question is sometimes people come here and ask a question but they have a completely wrong idea of what right should be. So 15 highly qualified answers are given, and the OP thinks it a bunch of bs because he has the wrong vision of what should be, you seem to have the right idea so the answers you are getting probably will make sense to you. So to answer your original question, your dd looks good at release, she is staying back at release, but finishes tall.

My thought is whenever you are working on an issue with a pitcher. If you can have her work from the circle, pitching from a rubber. Its harder to evaluate when they are on grass or a gym floor.

Chin,

Thank you and thanks to everyone who responded. My daughter is just two weeks into a transition to IR and we are working it out. In my area there are only a couple coaches who teach IR. So we have started this journey with the people on this board as a guide. Once again thanks to you all.

I think Amy is pretty much right.....her posture is not to bad.
You will note that after release she tends to "walk out".......this is an indication that she didn't get all the energy into the ball.....some stayed in the body. Front side resistance is important relative to the transfer of energy.
I cue phrase that works on many to develop front side resistance at time of release is "hit the wall and be tall".......do not let her step or lean thru the wall.
Hope that helps a bit.....she really is not to far off with her mechanics so this should be a relatively easy fix.
