While mine isn't as personal as yours, I do have a somewhat similar dilemma at times. Since I teach pitching and hitting, occasionally one of my hitters will face one of my pitchers. On the one hand, you can say I can't lose in that matchup. On the other hand, one of them is going to lose the face-off and me along with them.

That's what pockets are for.

Speaking of umps, just be happy you aren't behind the plate! I got stuck with that once, but must say, getting the stink eye because of my zone was kinda fun!

Think how the Williams dad has felt for so many years, at tennis matches.

I think you are a lucky dad.

Honestly, I was going to suggest calling Archie Manning. But seriously, do the best you can to just enjoy it. If you are close to the other parents they are going to know the situation and understand how torn you are. I hope they both throw shutouts!

damn....you took away the Manning reference, alcohol and barbituates so all I can say is enjoy it. You should take each one aside separately and tell them in secrecy that they are your favorite and you want them to win. Eventually it will come out and when they find out you said the same thing to both of them it is a great fatherhood moment, sure it messes them up and probably leads to therapy later in life but it's worth it IMO.

in the end, remember that both played well and the winner will be the team that was better that day.
