Little league and Rec league are, and always be the roots of the fastpitch tree. Its important to have a welcoming and INEXPENSIVE way to introduce the sport we all love to future athletes. If you cant enjoy the game because you cant stop critiquing the players you may be taking it all a little to seriously.IMHO
Keep in mind a few of these teams made it on pitching these were some of the best PITCHERS in the WORLD (Little league standards of course) in 2011 my kid was gunned there and threw mostly 58-59 but her true game speed was abhout 56-57. I think alot of the radar stuff has to do with where the gun is at and what kind of equipment is being used. For me it seems like the higher the gun sits the higher the readings get.

I agree, we saw the best LITTEL LEAGUE softball pitchers aged 13 and under in this tournament. We definitely did not see the best 13 and under pitchers though.
Jackie Traina played LL softball and took her team to the LL World Series Championship. Just sayin'

I thought she was older. Missed her in this year's series the pitchers I saw may go on to do great things. But the general pitching talent was just not there. Not saying I didn't love watching it, not saying I'm not appreciate of the teams, not hatin, not saying anything, just that they are not the top pitchers for this age. I assume that you and the other fine poster think this is tops pitching talent for this age and that is fine too. Without eyeseight problems like this we would not have a thriving optometry work sector that employs hundreds of thousands of people.

Surely a pitchers parent running the gun!!! 58-59 hear this all the time, my gun must be off because I usually get 52-53 best.

Cool. That must mean that the level of all pitchers was just as good as PGF.
Sunnyside got a hero's welcome home! Fire trucks met the plane on the runway, and they were picked up in a motor coach. The cheerleaders lined the concourse and 100s of people were there. At the ball park, people had balloons and home made signs. One personal interest story, the coach was a player in 1992 and won the whole thing in baseball. His team has a sign at the Sunny Side ball park.

the Az team was spunky....really liked that kid who did the dirt voodoo stuff. Loved how aggressive they were on the bases.
