What is the best way to cool down...

    Hello everyone,
I have read a lot on here about dynamic warm up before a practice. I do have an established practice that involves both a dynamic warm up and a cool down, especially if I have been throwing hard (good mechanics in mind). I was just curious of what many of you do after a period of hard throwing. Thanks

Have the catcher stand up, and then you play pitch and catch with the catcher with you tossing the ball underhanded. Do this until you get cool down. Sounds pretty simple, and it is...but you would be surprised how many pitchers can't play pitch and catch underhanded.

Next, do some "fence stretches" with your pitching arm (grab fence with your throwing hand, and then stretch your arm).

I usually have a beer and jump in the pool. That's how I cool down after a game. But, I don't think that's the answer you're looking for. The kind of beer is VERY important, if you choose to go my route.

    LOL

Anyway I think you just have to pitch softly but still with an arm circle to cool down.
