The Pocket Radar manual says that things like fans, electrical sources, fluorescent lights, etc. can cause false readings. There may be some of those types of things in the building.
I haven't had much luck with my PR at all. Very inconsistent and hard to get a reading at all while catching too.
Pocket Radar
I have a pocket radar, I have a nice jugs gun. You're right, the pocket radar is more impacted by the environment than is the jugs. Can be several MPH slower than jugs on any given pitch depending where you are. FWIW, my jugs gun is certified tuned.
