iScore or Gamechanger will calculate more pitching stats than you will ever need. Remember the stats are only as good as the person keeping the scorebook.

Any ideas on an app or formula for me to keeps track if DD's stats and calculate ERA?

No sure what you are asking. Do you just want your DD's stats? Are you keeping a scorebook of every game, or are you just keeping stats for your daughter each game and then looking to calculate ERA from that? iScore and Gamechanger require that you score the entire game.

From another thread I know your DD is just starting pitching and it sounded like your Team rotates pitchers during games. DD’s Team does the same thing. She can pitch from 1 batter to 3 innings any given game as I can tell for no specific reason. She wanted me to get an IPod this year to keep all her stats and I told her that there is no way I am going to sit there and score the entire game. I know some people like keeping score, if you do iScore or Gamechangerand are both good.

I keep an informal track of her K/BB/HBP and runs allowed. Gives us a good idea of how she is doing without too much work.

I don’t really care about ERA but it is calculated earned runs allowed / innings pitched / 7.

Be careful comparing your DD’s stats to other players, they are easy to manipulate.

If your smartphone is an android, Gamechanger is a free app you can do on your phone. However, as others have said, you need to score the whole game if you want accurate stats for both pitching and hitting. I'm not sure if they have a windows app yet.

If you just want to keep your daughter's stats, I'd recommend creating your own Excel spreadsheet where the stats for each game are entered on one line and totaled at the bottom. You have to decide what stats you want to keep. If you want to determine ERA, you need to make sure you know the formula, but also the scoring rules that determine what is and isn't an earned run.
