At 12U ERA is not worth tracking, there are too many other "team" factors that can effect a pitchers ERA at the younger ages. The best statistics for tracking a young pitchers progress are BAA and K/BB.
I would highly recommend you start keeping a full book and be completely honest about every single play. If you do it on gamechanger or iScore all team stats will be automatically calculated for you.
