Has anyone used the TCB balls for practice or training?

According to the advertisement they give direct feed back upon contact and only travel about 25 feet.

My daughters hitting instructor used them for the first time a few weeks ago. I thought they were a great feedback tool to show if the batter is hitting the center of the ball and finishing "long". I didn't know what they were called but now that I do I think I'm going to buy a half dozen for soft toss in the backyard.

I use them and tested them for hitter-Howard. The small 15 Oz balls work great. The larger balls stay away from. They are way to heavy for 90% of the kids. What the above poster stated is why I like them.

We hit with these in the backyard. The baseball size balls are great but the Atomic balls may be too heavy for under 16u. At first my daughter struggled a bit with the balls but now she is an animal. She actuallys hits the ball hard and more than 40 feet sometimes.. They will not hurt you but you cant hit to many you will eventually get tired etc....

Thanks guys!!!

I was told about these and wondered how they performed before making an investment. I also noticed they are developing golf ball sized ones.

I will let hitter explain, but if Bustos won't hit that much weight then I disagree it has anything to do with a 16U girl. That is way to much impact on the wrist of any player. This goes back to some that still want to hit basketballs. Not sure if the golf size would serve the purpose of hitting the ball in the sweet spot. As mentioned ,if you do not finish your swing the ball does not go very far. I like them as a warm up device b-4 games , since you do not need a net and they will not go very far.

I was also thinking that these might be good before a game. Can someone describe what they're made of and how they work. Do they collaspe on impact? What prevents them from going further?

Thanks

I can't see using them w/o a net. They still fly 20 feet and then roll. And I would never toss them from the front, without something in front of me. I mean 16 ounces is a lot of weight to get hit with.

I watched the man in the video pitching them in a gym and he wasn't even wearing a glove. I expected something a lot softer than these turn out to be.

If you hit them square the squish and as Amy stated they will go about 20' which is the area we normally use outside to warm up in in most cases. They will roll , but not very far in grass, due to the weight of the ball. If you hit the bottom half or top half it looks like a wounded duck for us hunters. It is a soft plastic compound and I'm not sure what it has inside. I would cut one open, but not for what I paid for the 6 I have. Like I stated our high school got 6 each. The larger ones , none of the girls could finish her swing, after contact. That is another part of this ball I like. You must finish your swing to get the ball to go 20'. If you are using them indoors, yes they will roll further.

Are they durable? Has anyone broke them? Do you know weather college men use them?
