Ken ... SL has widely circulated this video at multiple websites ... my only point being that it shouldn't surprise him when it occasionally appears elsewhere after such a wide circulation.

While many of us may agree with the notion of not posting videos elsewhere that have been requested not to be shared elsehere, the reality is that people do it. SL was a member of HI for a short while, so he knows from first-hand experience that it isn't uncommon for a video to be imported and discussed.

SL ... I personally believe this is a decent demonstration of this particular drill. I suspect it would be a welcome addition for those that collect video demonstrations of drills.

SL ... an updated demo would be much appreciated. This is an example of the stacking that can actually cause problems in a swing. It limits connection, causes a significant loss of adjustability, doesn't use a more ideal inside/out hand/arm path, etc.

The device itself is actually quite useful.

Thanks for the invite , but Tennessee is a bit far from Oregon for me to drop in for a visit. Look , I havent called you any names and dont plan too. I actually like some of the info that you post. I am just merely interested in how you relate all the technical stuff to your students.

I believe I may have used the Hanson Principle in a recent post to rdbass when I posted a link to John Mallee's hitting video.

I've had not-so-smooth discussions on here with several of the experts. Being a student of the game and a little hard-headed it sometimes takes a lot of back and forth and a little frustration to get the message, or communicate what I actually mean.

If a subject is discussed, or debated, long enough there will be an answer. The problem is when it digresses to name calling and personal attacks and subtle snide remarks. Those kinds of posts actually tarnish the credibility of the posters in my mind.

Everyone doesn't have to be in absolute agreement to be right. Look at the many batters who do really well without perfectly modeling the perfect swing; both professional and amateur, male and female.

    Don't pet the sweaty stuff.

Tim - nice work....hard to pick out details but can see a really good weight transfer setting up the hands....which is missing in most fastpitch swings....again nice work!!

Nice Tim. How was playing in the dome? DW is jealous they never used it when she played there.

The field house was OK. We were supposed to be at UNI,s dome but their floor machine that lays the turf went down. So it was moved to Iowa State at the last minute. So for them to pull it off was pretty cool in its self. Over all any college would like to have a field house like that. Only down side no inside bathrooms as the field house was under construction and it was -5 to 10 windchill while we were there. So it was a little rough for the wife to hit the porta potty. Other than that nice place.
