Not here.
BTW the swing is never really 12-6 unless you want to hit a ball that would hit your knee

he swing is always a disc starting at the front shoulder and that disc is tilted.
I picture this 'disc' and not the 12-6 I'm picturing:

So, is adjusting to pitch height a matter of adjusting the disk angle?

I would not say only because there are other adjustments too but I think that is the main factor. high pitch shoulders stay (more) Level and low pitch shoulder axis is titled down.

yes, if it was pure 12-6 the bat would move straight down and not towards the plate. the bat never is straight under the shoulders but always pointed a Little to the plate too. the swing is more 12-6 but not completely, maybe it is 11-5 on low pitches and more like 10-4 on higher pitches.

So Cal
dom - 12-6 refers to where the acceleration of the bat occurs. The clock face (disk) may be tipped at different angles for different pitch locations, but the acceleration remains in the 12-6 zone.

Back on the dirt...
BTW the swing is never really 12-6 unless you want to hit a ball that would hit your knee. the swing is always a disc starting at the front shoulder and that disc is tilted. if the pitch is high that disc is almost Level and if the pitch is low that is tilted closer to 12-6 but never really 12-6.

the steepest angles are about 60 degrees down on really low and in pitches.

here is trout who is about the closest to 12-6 that you can get
JABO: Mike Trout Has a New Trick | FanGraphs Baseball

however it can help to think 12-6 on low pitches because centrifugal force tends to pull the bat angle up (just like a chair swing ride)

I think what Dom means is the it's not a straight up and down clock/plane. It has tilt.

Good post. IMO torquing the handle and getting the barrel moving at 12 o'clock is what most hitters fail to accomplish....
