I think because of the tee placement the 'leveling/level(A to C) to the ball type swing is more pronounced.

I see it in both swings. Just more so in the above gif.

The tee placement is definitely a factor, IMO. I would be more concerned with her posture on that particular gif. Posture after launch is better in the "green shirt" gif.

Thanks all for the responses. Let me grab a new shot of her swing with the tee placed properly so we can eliminate any issues that may be causing. As I mentioned, she was blasting the ball for two-thirds of last season, then suddenly stopped hitting line drives, so I would not be surprised if there are still mechanical issues to work out.

There are definitely some areas that she can improve with her mechanics. Sorting out the setup issues is just a first step to see what changes with that small adjustment.

Not here.
Here's another try, hopefully with better tee placement (and sneakers). Thanks as always for any feedback.

Not for me....tee still a little forward and to much towards the opposite batters box for my liking. You need to put a plate down. First so, your DD knows where to stand in reference to a plate. Second it will help you with your tee placement. Measuring out a batters box would be better.

Your DD needs to work on barrel path. Right now it's a A to C barrel path. Which means downward/down to the ball.

Where as all high level hitters barrel path is an A to B to C swing. What that means is a down to and UP through the ball. Like the gif below.

I understand this, but what is the best way to get a rookie hitter to understand? Is it about slotting the elbow properly, shoulder tilt, etc? IOW, what is the best way to make an A to C swing an A to B to C swing?

She has been seeing the same hitting instructor all along (one session per week). Since the green shirt video, the main change he's made is widening her stance. As I mentioned, she was hitting great through most of the season, but hit markedly worse in the final 2 tournaments, which seems is where the mechanics issues appeared.

I understand the issue with swing path rdbass mentions above. This is something we dealt with previously (prior to green shirt video). Using a Zepp, which indicated she was swinging with a negative attack angle, we worked on this until it was corrected (at least as far as Zepp was concerned). I can go this route again, unless there are other issues/suggestions for how to get this corrected.

My $0.02...the green shirt swing is better, but the ball is pretty high and this alone can make the swing look better. That swing is pretty flat and the hands are roughly same height as the barrel. The other swings are going down at the point of contact and the bat path continues down. Look at the 3 images rdbass posted...and specifically the white bat path in the third. Imagine this as a big (angled) hula hoop continuing around the batter...this is the path you want to be on. What I think has changed is your DD is taking a very direct path to the ball...probably because this is what she heard. But you have to start with your hands in the right position, turn the barrel to get it on path and continue on that path. My suggestion...look at that 3rd video...note the batters hands above the barrel at contact...start in this position and follow the path backwards finishing with the hands turning the barrel in reverse...back to starting position. Then follow that path forward to contact...then trace it back. No ball, no tee. Over-and-over...feel what the proper bat path feels like. Then try to duplicate with a tee/ball...making sure you finish in the same contact position...hands above the barrel.
