Swing feedback

This high rear tee drill is just him trying to fix the DBSF it doesn't show her actual swing. That game footage is her natural swing.
Stickpile-do you ever do the "ball drop" drill? Where she gets loaded and you hold a ball about as high as her head and just drop it for her to hit? It can be very revealing in separating "swing" issues from "load" issues.

The 'short-to' / 'around' type action, that is missing from the game swing, is present in the tee swing ... but it is out of sequence.

Don't turn this into another one of your pissing matches FFS- Stickpile is trying to fix a specific thing, his DD is obviously athletic and can hit well so for once please stay on topic and just try to help him out instead of trying to dazzle us with your analytical brilliance. maybe post a before and after of one of your students with a description of the drills you used to get there?

Stickpile- I have some before and during clips of my kid along with a drill program we are using. she still hasn't transitioned it to games but it really feels like it is on the edge of coming through. I will PM it to you when I get a chance this weekend. also Eric's DD Maddie has come a long way in fixing this issue so maybe he can contribute some real world advice.

There is no "pissing match" here JJs.

I'm perfectly aware that Stickpile is attempting to fix an issue.

I am on topic .... you, with this post, went off topic.

Your recommendation to post a before and after of a hitter's swing is not something you have engaged here in this thread. Why do you recommend advice that you yourself do not follow?

You speak of the hitting forums being argumentative ... but I see you as one of the bigger causes of that.

Let's keep this on a technical basis ... and discuss hitting.

I see no recommendation of what she needs to do from you either. I just see critiques. So in your opinion what does this athlete need to do to stop the dropping and lowering the hands to the ball? Criticism without a solution is just criticism!

Yeah....I'm done here.

Stickpile- I will send you the PM I mentioned with before/after clips and clips of the drills sometime this weekend. if anyone chimes in that can show their work then pay attention to it, if they only post clips of your kid compared to MLB swings they are probably just blowing smoke and have never really tried to tackle this issue.

What folks seem to be missing .... is that this issue is not present in her tee swing here. She has activated her hands and forearms ... but out of sequence.
