Help! I have a girl that when she tries to hit a ball she leans back almost at 45 degree angle. Most of her weight is on her back leg. Back leg is bent. Not much front leg resistance.

What drills can I do to help her change this? I searched on Dfp and was surprise that there was no threads on this problem.

Thanks again.

The first one that comes to mind is the kick it drill. Hitting off of a tee, hit into the front foot while picking the back foot off of the ground. First time they can hold the foot up for a moment. Later as they get better they can do a double tap with the back foot while it comes forward just a little as they are hitting into their front foot.

Yes it is a problem. I have a girl that does the same thing. Not sure you understand what exactly he is talking about. The girl I have seem to try and generate more whip by throwing her upper body back as her hand come forward. 45 degree angle is not what those pic show but the girl I have does this at about a 45 as well. OP, is this creating a hole in her swing as well? I have spoken to my girl several times and showed her video of herself to no avail. I even had her exaggerate her front should to a steep down hill position but in the end she still comes out of it. Any other drills besides the kick it drill?

Sorry not so good with the pics but you can see her shoulders are behind her heel! All the talking, showing, and explaining in the world has not produced results. Funny thing is when she is nice and relaxed she has a good swing. Think she gets nervous and tries to over do it in the box.
