I think there is a lot to like in this swing, especially with her hands. Many players this age develop "bat drag" issues, but I do not see that here. The big thing that jumps out to me is her back leg. She is doing the dreaded "squish the bug" thing. While she is trying to transition her weight, she is losing it because of that back foot. Try sticking one of those spare balls an inch or so to the right of her back heel (toward the catcher), and ask her to duplicate this swing without moving that other ball. If she can improve how she uses that rear leg, she could be very good. Have fun.

Thanks for the gif 5-frame and the input fp26. Funny, she is very aware that she is a "bug squisher", which I guess is good that she is aware and admits it. (not her fault tho, she can thank her ill-informed dad for that). this will be a tough hill to climb since, after a few swings I laid on the ground another bat with the butt end of the barrel against the catcher-side of her back heel to see if she could do exactly what you suggested and it was a brain-buster for her. But will will continue to focus on that, trying to get to her front side.

I am not good at posting gifs, but I would suggest doing a search on the "kick drill" or the "happy gilmore". Both of those drills focus on the rear leg.

Wonderful, smooth calm swing.

Just add the lower, and work in all the dynamics of adding a lower half.

Then it would be nice to see a tee swing at the knee high strike.

Man, nothing to drastic, how has she done in games so far?

And, I agree with fastpitch as a first step, he has suggested a couple of good drills.

Out the door in a minute....work on the hands back around AS she is moving out flowing into pulling with back AND turning barrel against her rear leg turning. Her leg is turning, her back should be fighting against turning, her hands should be snap turning the barrel into the arch, reaction will happen, the barrel will get whipped into the ball.
She is now pushing past her lower half instead of pulling against it. Making the swing a muscles push instead of an efficient whip.
