Talking with Howard today and he said the videos were interesting and she explains allot. He was there when they filmed it and he said she has some different camera views, angles,of parts of the swing.

That makes since... but, none of us are at her level. We can only try to mimic and learn. She was toying with the best of the top 1% of the best pitchers on the world. Baiting them into throwing the pitch she wanted... absolutely amazing player, and from what I hear she is very down to earth and easy to talk to. Not that snoody superstar attitude.

I purchased the Freak series. I have watched the "Seven Steps of Hitting", and the "Fix It". I am about 1/2 through "Workout Skills and Drills". If it is one thing I have learned it is to compare what is said with video of what actually happens. Unless Bustos actually swings her bat in the last 1/2 of "Workout Skills and Drills", I haven't seen any live swings in any of the 3 DVDs. The only live swing I have of Bustos is this gif:
I was hoping to see many live swings in at least one of these DVDs.
One thing I noticed right away comparing the above swing to the instruction in the DVD, is her "Building the Roof" comentary and how high her hand positioning is compared to this live swing.
I take back everything I said ^^^^^^ Bustos knocks the $%@# out of the ball in the last half of the Workout Skills and Drills. She demonstrates many of her drills. If I could only get one of the three DVDs... I'd get the "Workout Skills and Drills" DVD. I'll be watching this over and over...
I have the set coming this week. Looking forward to watching them. I got them for my high school coach.

DD's hitting coach loves her because she is so "down to earth" unlike a lot of the "superstars." They aren't good friends or anything, but he sees her and others occassionally at event's etc...

The "step open" drill.
No if you talk to her she baited her to throw that pitch and that is why you see her step the way she did.
