Pretty neutral I would say!

Well my impression here is there is no equivalency between your posts! Perhaps enthusiasm for something other than your flavor of pablum seems threatening to you. Are you sure you aren't Teacherman? You sure have the same writing style!

In truth I have seen one of them; Crystl's Workout Skills & Drills in Howard Carrier's house. Looked very well made and very informative. I liked it a lot. I recommend it, though not for all. Marcus, it wouldn't do you any good!

Sorry I missed your visit to Howard.... My son had a basketball practice

Sure wanted to meet you. I waved to your daughter when I drove by a certain Division I University after leaving town. Wishing her the best! I'll be back. I always wondered why I taught what I taught sometimes. I got a lesson in physics that day!

In the first video clip, it is a recognition drill. Bustos is tossing balls with top spin and back spin to simulate drop and rise balls. Pretty good drill me thinks!

Really? Then explain to me hitting an outside pitch driving it to the opposite field or hitting a well-concealed change-up. BTW, like I've said in earlier posts, I believe CB was exaggerating a point. I'm aware that is not what her usual swing looks like.

We appear to look at hitting differently. I'm just personally not a fan of terms like turning the barrel, throwing the barrel, yada yada yada. What I am a fan of is making solid contact with the ball at peak bat head acceleration, hitting through the ball, and a long, extended finish, all while keeping the front side strong. CB, SL, HC, BD, among others that are or were here in SW Ohio have had great success making hitters much better, and I'm fairly sure they do not use your many of your theories or terminology. I'm not saying your wrong in your teachings, you just appear to teach differently.

What a great statement.
This to me, would the ideal swing, accelerating to contact.
I think this would give you, those minute adjustments, as compared to instant acceleration, and trying to guide that energy.

One of the reasons, i work hard on elimainating bat wrap, is that the bat is moving so fast on a plane, that there is no adustments that can be made

From lag, to contact, the wrists break, bat speed increases, the final front leg lock out happens, the ball leaves the bat, with the bat at peak acceleration.

You speak of this demonstration being how to swing for a high inside pitch, yet in Rdbass's comparison below the video on the top is a swing at a high inside pitch, and it doesn’t remotely resemble Busto’s demonstration here.

It appears to be a pitch right down Main St. to me. Do you have the full video clip to prove this is a high inside pitch? I just don't see it based on her hand and bat path. Maybe rdbass can lend some help??

Yes, she can be seen stepping somewhat open in many of her game swings. Some might even confuse it for corner generation purposes.

I would argue that it could be. Many hitters have "stepped in the bucket" slightly and had tremendous success. That's why I think it isn't a big problem if the proper resistance is preventing everything else from opening with it.

Pstein I had Brooke step in the bucket purposely to help create the feel of the corner and it helped tremendously. Gotta learn the feeling of giving the hands room to work

I've done it too. I took the "step open" drill and added a barrel tip. I made that my regular swing. There's so much freedom with it. The body clears and the hands can freely work.

inside or offspeed adjustment is by "lagging" (sliding barrel with longitudinal pull,AKA drag) the barrel ?

someone would teach that ?

i mentioned in an earlier post, that i thought lag increased on inside pitches, and was very short on outside pitches.

she is demonstrating the same thing Bonds is doing in this tomohock clip.

in the Bonds gif, lag is very short, the time between wrist cock, and release, she holds lag longer, but it is the SAME movements.
