I like the way it is explained in these videos hopefully they help. She does have all these problems but I think it will help explain what she need to do as far as keeping inside the ball. It might be good to see from behind to see if she is casting out but either way if she takes this to heart it will fix that to. Also agree about a even or deep ball tee drill to help her feel keeping inside the ball

What Enquist doesn't explain is why the bat gets cast in the first place. She just shows it when ii happens and I have not seen too many swings where the hitters casts the bat like she is showing....it starts much earlier...

She is not casting. Stop the vid at 1 sec. As her front shoulder is coming way open early, she pushing the handle behind her with her front arm.

Go back to OP at look at the swing during the first few frames of :45 sec mark, her hands have dropped, back elbow is slotting, bat is still behind her and front elbow is locked out, looks like the pitches are a little low but she still needs to understand that dropping the hands and reaching out is not how you attack a low pitch.

I would recommend a fence or back noodle drill but it looks like she recovers enough to where she could do those drills but it is still a position you can never recover enough from to get a good swing.

Thank you all for the responses and advice.

1.
she locks her front arm just after the forward motion has begun, it what is causing her to look like she is really swinging around the ball. It looks like she cleans things up a little but she can't ever recover.
I am the blame for that. I was following this advice:

2.
Her contact point is so far out in front of her that she's making contact with the ball as her wrists are rolling over.
The Point of Contact (POC) issue is very clear. She is definitely way out in front of it.
Do you think this is a timing issue with her stride?
Perhaps she is striding just a little too soon.

3.
Has she had an eye exam lately? Sometimes, that is the problem.
Yes. She wears contacts and had an exam within the last couple months.

4.
I think the long stride and her upper body staying back is preventing better rear leg action
Yes. She tends to reach with her stride leg instead of getting a good initial weight shift.
Is this valid advice?

I agree with RHC - she is not casting. She is launching the bat behind her backside and then turning it around her hip.

IMO - one of the best drills you can do is take rear leg swings....once a hitter can control her swing using only the rear leg for balance and strengthens all of her stabilizers - the stride can then be controlled by the back leg....in the process you learn the correct direction to launch the bat....if you want to remain on your back foot in the drill....
