14U DD hitting...looking for feedback

No, I don't see the gifs of the young girl

Even without the gifs just imagine your DD starting position now place something parallel with her back foot a shoe box, glove anything (you can draw a line or use tape but the feedback is not the same) so that it is just an inch or so away. When she swings her heel should not spin into the object, it should go forward.

Had a few minutes to compare some differences between your dd swing and Megan May. Hopefully it helps.

LOWER HALF. Your dd weight is on her back foot. She turns her rear knee in, but almost immediately she is pushing back on her front leg, so her weight never shifts off of her rear toes and she spins on an axis.

May coils forward. Hear rear pocket turns toward the ss as her hips come forward. Her weight is still on her rear side. Her rear knee starts turning forward. While her knee is turning forward her hands and back are still loading and holding back. The lower forward and upper holding is creating stretch up her rear side. Her knee continues to turn forward and she launches her swing shifting her weight forward with the swing.

Upper
Your dd loads starts loading her back with her elbow and humorous pulling back. Then she flattens her bat. Drops the barrel below her rear shoulders and pulls the barrel around with her arms.

May loads her elbow up, not pinching her scap as much as some mlb players. She does keep her bottom hand relatively under her top hand. Her elbow drops into slot. The stretch from her rear hip to her hands from her rear knee going forward and her back and hands staying rearward pulls on her shoulder and hands. She launches, pulling her rear side forward and at the same time turning the handle of the bat down and rearward whipping it around and forward. Her bat is blurring early in it's movement.

If you watch the barrel paths between the two one is more circular, one is more straight through the ball

Flatening the bat has allot to do with it

You want straight through the ball

So, is what this dd is doing with her back leg and foot something that is being taught to her?
This is one area that seems to be greatly misunderstood.
What should be done with the foot and leg?
How do you get to the high level movement of the elite hitters?
I use coil foward, uncoil, not much said on the leg and foot, but lots of my students, keep the leg stiff, and do not "get sat",

I have seen so many clips of coaches, even high level coaches, saying drive that knee down and in, this will rotate the hips.

YES! drive the knee forward.
Just an in and out here, cause I am tired of debating for a while anyway. I will say this describes what I believe and do. That way everyone else can say that it is different and we don't argue if it is right or wrong. This is how I believe you get the appearance of hips before hands...separation.
Stand up and get in a narrowish batting stance. Have a bat or imaginary bat in your hands at your rear shoulder. Now for exaggeration to feel the actions put nearly all your weight on your rear leg. Plant that rear foot into the floor so it doesn't move. Now just thinking about your rear knee, turn it forward as far as you can. Let your body and torso turn with it. Your knee goes forward a little bit, then down a little. Do it a few times.
Ok, shake it out, and get back into your narrowish knees under shoulder stance (for the experiment). We are going to to the knee turn forward action again. This time though start slowly loading your scap, pull back the bow, now start turning your knee forward. As your knee turns forward resist, slightly pull, your loaded back from turning forward. As you turn your knee forward and resist your hands and back from going forward, you should get separation between your rear hip area and your hands. You will feel stretch up your rear side. You feel your rear side pulling as your knee turns. Your side wants to pull into a scrunch. Your rear side wants to pull down and forward tilting your shoulders.

We worked a bit on the "spinning" today...here is a short clip.

This was a tee drill which is why here stride leg comes up so high.

It looks better,right?
