Noontime drill:
ACraig_1Bview_launch.gif

Here is the Allan Craig clip with some pauses thrown in. The first pause is the start of the "drill" see how the rear leg is already turning in and his upper is pulling back at that point. Start at the pause with those things happening. You should be able to launch at 50% effort (or something less than 100%) an essentially end at the second pause. Launch... from pause to pause. Apply the inward pressure and never let it go. Resist with everything above and never let it go. As explained by NoonTime.

Just added my additional observation to an already good description of a high level swing.

Thanks for some good info Redhot Coach. I know she is close I have seen some big hits from her. But there are a lot of ground balls. Her hitting coach is a college coach in the NE who was a very good hitter a couple of years ago in her college playing days. She is not available to her now. Here is the full speed video of her last video. My DD goes back to school the 20th, so we will be hitting the cages a lot between now and then.

The caption "LOST IT" means her back leg gave up whatever control it had to the front leg....could she have maintained control in the back leg a frame longer and how would have the swing unfolded from there??

So she is losing her coil when stepping with front foot? How do we go about preventing it?

Slow down her sequence, get the back leg in charge of stepping out, practice firing first with back hip and big toe of rear foot in the swing.

Sometimes I will add weight to the knob of the bat to help with that process

could you explain the "lost it" part again? she is confused because thats part of her toe touch since the first movement was her negative load.

Instead picking up her front leg in the "Lost it" frame see if she can use the back leg to stride.

A cue that may help her figure it out is that you want to press forward with the back leg or keep watching this clip:
