+1 for the Tanner tee. I've tried about 5 different types including the G-Tee, and will never recommend anything other than the Tanner. As part of my lesson training, I still like to do "one arms" from the knees and for that I use some old jr home plate style tees, they are partially broken and held together with duct tape so I will be looking for a short tee soon too.
