I promised DD I wouldn't post video, so...this is the absolute farthest the tip travels towards the pitcher. She gets it to this point and pretty much holds it until go. The ball is in the air at this point but she isn't getting good stretch from her lower half... Yeager's missing frames:)
Again, this bat setup was how her TB coach instructs. I always had more of a vertical bat.

If this is the farthest the tip points towards pitcher then I'm not sure what coach is talking about since she actually is not wrapping at all. I'm probably with RD on this one it probably looks "bat wrappy" in real time because the bat is flat. Would depend where she starts it also, again just from a look point of view, still not convinced this is at plant since her elbows to elbows with forearms is almost a straight line she has got to slot that back elbow at some point and will look more like a upside down "V".

Thanks DJ, she is at heel plant or at least touching the ground but maybe not weighted...her elbow is just slightly lower than the first pic and is starting to slot.

I like vertical barrels, a dorsiflexed top wrist (top hand palm, not knuckles facing pitcher at load), barrels not buried in the palm, and then playing around with top hand pressure on the handle to create a barrel tip.

In short, not just where the barrel ends up at load, but *how* the hand action and body load got it there....

So not so much a critique of what your hitter is doing in the pic but a list of things she can experiment with to learn about her swing and find what works for her....
