Easy to point out what is wrong, but how do you go about fixing it?

First, have her swing an appropriately sized bat which should fix probably half her problems. Second, either start reading the various threads on this forum concerning hitting or take her to a knowledgeable hitting coach that would tell them absolutely no way in hell is she swinging that thing and put her on the right path to the proper HL swing pattern. Just because I have a 10 YO in my stable that can swing my DD's 34/25 RT doesn't mean I let her use it in a game or practice situations other than for overload wt/right wt/ underload wt training. And even this bat speed drill is a questionable use because the 10 YO that I have struggles to maintain proper mechanics although she actually does a decent job of it.

We'll see... She just hit a moon shot Home run this morning I posted about it in shameless parent brag.

A glimpse into your future...have a player maybe 7 years older than yours that has been hitting moon shots for years off of weak pitching. She was crying yesterday after finally figuring out that she can't hit even mediocre pitchers anymore. Enjoy the ride, but don't get too excited about the moon shot she hit off of a girl that won't be pitching anymore in two years. Maybe she can swing that telephone pole...maybe not...but work on her technique. To be perfectly honest...the home runs she hits now are a step backwards.

When my dd grows up, she will be able to swing that bat.

N2U - This ^^ is a subtle way of saying that the bat is way to big for your DD. CB's kid graduated college this year (setting a few power-hitting records during her career), and "delicate" or "petite" are not adjectives people generally to use to describe her.

Hilarious.

And by the way, isn't a 34/25 rocketech more like 26 or even 27 ounces? I thought that RT's were always much heavier than list weight. needless to say I could be wrong. Will check your database.

I checked the database. RT's are HEAVY!! For example, there was a 34/24 RT that actually weighed 28 ounces. A 34/25 weighed 26.5 ounces. There is a strong chance that this 10 year old is swinging a 27 or 28 ounce bat. Does ANYONE think this is a good idea??
