DD is 15, 1st year 18U, 5'-2", 120 lbs.

I'm noticing she is not hitting the ball as hard as she was at the beginning of the summer. another thing is that she is hitting the ball farther off the tee than she is with live pitching or front toss.

I'm thinking she needs to :
a) increase her power so that those hits are sizzling line drives as opposed to floaters that give the fielders a chance to get to them.
and
b) see more high level pitching,

can any of you suggest any training that would help develop her power?

thanks

You have any video of her swing at the beginning of the summer that you can compare to her current swing. That will probably tell you what has changed in her swing. Did she go from school ball where she was hitting the ball really well to club where she isn't hitting as well. If so could partially be the level of pitching she is seeing now is better than in the spring. How about the amount of time she was spent on hitting in the spring versus now, more in the spring?? Did she change hitting coach? Or maybe stop taking lessons?
A lot of variables to consider before adding drills, especially if she was hitting with power before.
