Stay away from the Dicks brand balls. Buy a good quality ball for hitting unless you want oblong balls in a few weeks. Our team bought cheap Worth balls that come with the buckets and they were all thrown out in a few weeks of practice. Cheap balls turn to mush pretty fast especially with the older girls (14U and above).
The Dick's practice balls are now labeled "For pitching and throwing practice only". Thought it was funny for a company to sell a bucket of balls that you can't even hit.
I do not shop there but that is just stupid. Hopefully they are just trying to clear their inventory at a great price for a ball that is not allowed to be hit. With that warning label I would not use it for pitching, catching or anything else.
Do you know if someone is allowed to catch the pitched or thrown ball or are you supposed to aim into the woods or lake?
