So at a top ranked D2 school today, they immediately told DD that they teach rear elbow down. All of their players do it. From what I could see was it was because elbow up can lead to bat drag. DD'S a high elbow girl but she immediately switched and did fine.
Amazing how different every place we go is on how they teach.

Not here.

DII opinion or based on fact or video.
DD'S a high elbow girl but she immediately switched and did fine.
Did DD previous have 'bat drag' and that corrected the problem?
or
Did DD switch to elbows down and did 'fine'.
So, went to a clinic and they changed your DD's swing based on a couple of swings from the tee or changed because that is what this DII believes for a fact prevents/corrects 'bat drag' whether a hitter has 'bat drag' or not.

Now I couldn't hear what the coach was saying, so I could be wrong, but what he demonstrated was when he started with a high elbow he went in slow motion to an extreme elbow leading the hands position. Then he did a slow mo of elbow low and then stayed connected. Again it was my interpretation but DD confirmed the elbow down opinion, but said they were talking about "dipping."

bat drag

The term bat drag wasn't used (it looked like that's what he was doing though).
He didn't single out DD... it was for all the girls and that's how all his players batted.
DD switched because she was told to and hit fine that way also.
