The Left (bottom) Wrist

I've been intrigued by some stuff FFS posted in another thread regarding left wrist (RHB) action and would l like to discuss it further.

NOTE: I have removed the word "supination," as it was the wrong word to describe the action.

Reviewed video of dd's last game at-bats and she swung with neutral (not supinated) wrists.

Had her try swinging with supinated wrists today (with me pitching to her). While she complained about being afraid she would lose the bat during her swing, she hit the ball harder than she ever has during dad-pitch.

It's just one anecdote/data point and I don't know why this would be effective, but I'm encouraged enough to have her try it again at practice tomorrow.

I don't recall ever referring to the wrists as "supernating".

My mistake. You had posted the golfing clip I posted above, then in a post a few posts down you mentioned "supernating," but you weren't referring to the wrist. http://www.discussfastpitch.com/softball-hitting-practical/18090-hand-action-contact.html#post229066

Nonetheless, the "secret move" referred to in the golf clip caught my attention. Clearly this "secret move" needs to be a part of the swing going into contact.
