So Cal
I was wondering how fast should the infielders be to make that throw to first (Time)?

Which infielder?
Did they have to move to field the ball?
Which way did they have to move?
How far did they have to move?
How quickly did the ball get to them?
How fast is the runner?
Are there other runners on base? Which base(s)?
How fast does the infielder throw from where the ball is fielded?

Lots of variables.

Go with what JAD said.

We clock our girls...as soon as the ball is hit we start the clock and we strive for being under 3 seconds. You can do it whether youre working on a bunt, hard or soft grounders, backhands and so on. We keep track of their improvement and helps with their quickness. One thing I do stress is quick but accurate. No sense on working on speed when all the fundamentals go out the door and you have sloppy throws...I've done it with 10u all the way through 18s. Can be competitive at times although one grounder is hit faster than another. Perfect program? Probably not but take the average home to first and there you have it.
