Boy, she was good. Tiny little player with a ton of energy.

My 2 favorite plays she made:

A ball was hit in front of the LF, which she was not going to get to, end up to be a running catch by the CF.

Our fastest player hit a ball over her head to the fence and was safe on a close play at 2nd. Who needs a cutoff person?

She was all over the field, but where she was supposed to be, every pitch. With a runner on 2nd she would run to 2nd after every pitch then back to CF. I got tired watching her.

I wish her well, she was fun to watch. She made more of an impact of the game then any fielder on either Team.

Me too, it is not fair to our Team. :)

Every ball hit she took a step towards the ball then went to where she was supposed to be. Ball hit down the line her first step was towards the ball then immediately getting to a backup position. She never stood still.

I bet there are coaches that would like to convince her that the SE is just as nice as the west. You have to love perpetual motion. Some things just can't be taught.

I'd just like to know why this child is stuck playing rec ball?

I would have my kid play rec, but it's non-existant out here. So I have decided to take over an 18U team with very little travel. I am beyond surprised at the response I am getting from the girls who have done the travel to SoCal, Colorado, Vegas, etc...that just don't want to do that anymore, including my own DD. They want to play competitive ball and stay much closer to home. I'm looking forward to a fun, low stress, low cost year.

Fun and low cost? Maybe.

Low stress? Who are you kidding? ;)
