Anyone here good at critiquing a thrower?

DD is having accuracy issues. Ball will sail to the right on her. Has a slight curve on it sometimes.

I have video and will PM them to anyone who wants to take a shot at it. Would rather not post them here.

None of the bad throws were caught on camera, though.

Do you do long toss? I have seen several girls work out of pushing the ball and throwing curve balls just by long tossing a few times a week and a few pointers. Try some of Ab's drills and thoughts.

Is she dropping her arm slot?
Is she cutting her hand inside the ball on release?
Both can cause the "screwball" like drift you describe.

Just looked at couple of her vids….LUNCHTIME and I am starved!

She isn't too bad at all. I really think some of Ab (Austin's) drills and some long toss with have her throwing very well in just a few weeks.

Water bottle drill is the best IMO.

Got Austin's book. We go back and check out his drills. I do think long toss will help. She had a shoulder problem this time a year ago that was believed to be a SLAP tear. It wasn't, but she has thrown probably half the number of balls this year because of fear of over-work and re-injury. That could be part of the issue, that we haven't spent any time throwing beyond what she does in team practices/games.

Does she use a 4 seam grip? Most girls, that i teach have not heard of it.

Yes. Assuming I know what a 4-seam grip is.
