Thread: 2013 DeMarini CF5s

I'm starting to see pictures of these swirling around the internet. On DeMarini's website, they have a video introducing the new line, but that's it. I'm really interested in these, because the 2011 CF4 that I had was really disappointing, and by the time the CF5 came out I already had a new bat (2010 Stealth Speed, not bad). But I'm still pretty loyal to DeMarini, so hopefully these new CF5s will be great like the Phenixs used to be.

Anyone seen/heard/ordered one of these?

The "hope" looks pretty cool! Black with silver and pink graphics. Several online retailers have them for sale now.

Wouldn't be surprised, however they did rename their "new" composite technology, whether or not they improved it is the real question!

Same bat as 2012 model. New graphics.

I recently won a 2012 CF5 on ebay for $190 and received the bat today - but in the package was a 2013 CF5... I have emailed the seller to find out why he shipped me a 2013 when the item was clearly listed as a 2012 - but I am wondering if I should even care. Maybe I should be happy to get a 2013 instead. I haven't found many reviews on the 2013 yet. Anyone swing one yet? Should I just keep the 2013?

Just got my daughter one for her birthday. She got the bat last night and has yet to try out. it is the same bat as the regular cf5 but we like the look of the black bat better, plus a percentage of sales (although I'm sure it's minute) go towards breast cancer awareness charities. Got a brand new one from an eBay dealer for $249 or $50 less than everyone else has it for.

DD got a 2013 CF5 Insane 31" 21oz in the middle of May and all I can tell you is wow!! The pop on this bat right out of the rapper is unbelivable. One day in practice DD hit 2 over the fence (175ft fence DD is playing 10U) other players also used it that day and rocketed balls to the fence and 1 other girl but one over the fence. They now call it the magic bat... LOL.

DD has the 2012 CF5 Insane and 2012 CF5 and has come close to hitting over the fence but never had before the 2013 CF5 Insane.

DD also got the 2013 CF5 32" 21 oz but hasn't used it other than hitting around the house. Dosen't like the feel as much as the Insane.

Wifes dad is friends with Demarini sales rep and he sends her a new year model each year.

My daughter has used one of her teammates CF5 that she just got, with pretty good results. Went 2 for 3 for the first time all year last weekend. Now she wants one, but another one of her teammates parents said he heard a rumor that the CF5's were gonna be banned next year, so she's reluctant to pursue it. Has anyone heard this rumor? Is it possible?

You're fine with the 2013 CF5 in ASA and Utrip. If you buy a 2012 CF5 it is good in ASA but not in UTrip after August 2013 because it does not have the new stamp required.
