The Wilson A440 is a great glove for a beginner. They have a velcro wrist strap, that girls can really tighten up around small hands. These gloves have the "Monsta Web" in them, an 11'' ball will dissapear in the web of these gloves. My 9 year old had a 11.5" in coach pitch and used a 12" this year in 10U.
