Freak Black

Just wanted to send a thanks out to CoreSoftball20 for the quick shipping on our bat. The DD loves it. Wish we had it for our Saturday ball, but we were to far away when it was delivered. So I surprised her with it this morning since she stayed over night with the other girls and I came home to get it. Did some quick soft toss with it before the first game and she was loving it. Had a couple walks and a very nice double up the middle with it before mother nature ended the day.

As I watched the other games for this weekend, I still didn't see any other Freak Blacks getting swung. It sounded great and had pretty good pop coming off the bat. Had a coach asking me where I got it and if you had any more in that size.

I'll add my thanks to CoreSoftball20 here as well. Shipped Thursday PM and arrived Saturday AM. DD (11U) had it in the cages for an hour today swinging at live pitches and bunting. Great pop right out of the wrapper, nearly took off the coaches head through the L screen and pushed it back an inch or two with the live pitching. She felt bad about it. He did not. VERY balanced bat. She is going from a CF6 Hope at 20.5 oz to the Freak Black at 21.1 oz. She let me know it still felt lighter and quicker. I was actually impressed with her bunting with it as well. Much more quick and accurate. I think that is due to the Freak Black being so well balanced and the connector design in comparison to the CF6 Hope. The nice narrow taper connector made of silicone rubber on the Freak Black appears to make it easier for quick hands to the ready position. One more practice in the next few days and then tournament time next Sunday. Excellent investment. Miken has a winner. I sure hope they get more exposure in the coming year and continue to improve their offering. To recap, this bat is full of win. Thanks again.

DD had a Miken Rain that had serious pop out of the wrapper. I'd try the freak but I already have a Xeno sitting in the corner collecting dust while DD swings a Mako and I don't need 2 bats sitting in the corner and a confused teen.

What sizes do you have left? If they aren't spoken for, I will pass the info along.

My daughter hit two balls this weekend with her Freak Black that are unreal. One cleared the net at U. of Indy and went into the yard across from the diamond.

Got the Freak today but have not had a chance for DD to try it out yet. She really likes the look of it. CoreSoftball20 was super easy to deal with and shipping was very fast. I will always talk to him first for my bat addictions. Thanks Core!

Anyone actually weighed one of these? I have one coming and will compare against our other bats but just curious as to the actual weight.
