Funny story. I had a girl named Leah on my team a few years ago. Nice kid, pretty strong and a hard worker. Didn't have the best hand-eye coordination in the world but she was a gamer. She really wanted a RocketTech but her mom was reluctant to spend that much money on a bat.

Anyway, one day we're playing a game and she hits a shot to the opposite field that falls three feet short of the fence. I looked at her dad and said "If that had been a RocketTech it would've been over." Danged if she didn't show up with a RocketTech the following Monday. Mom wasn't too happy, but daddy and daughter were.

Years ago I had a problem with my DD's Rocketech bat (excessive chipping paint). I sent the bat back to him and he called me directly to discuss the problem. He sent me a replacement at no charge and paid for the shipping back to him also. I will never talk bad about him personally but I had horrible problems with the products. During our phone conversation he both recognized this and admitted that there was a quality problem with the bats. This turned out to be the end of his existence with the Anderson bat company. He was very frank about the issues and honest with the problems that we had with the bat. A few months later the story broke about his departure with the company. I always wondered where he ended up as I thought highly of him since he called me directly to talk about the issues that I had.

Fast forward to today and I would not purchase any product form Anderson bat company based on both past experiences, the way they treated him and future expectations.

Copied from the Bucket. Definitive words from Steven Anderson explaining his selection of the 04, 05, 07 RTs as top performers (and noting that all 2014 and newer Andersons are manufactured in China)

"The 2004 and 2005 were identical in every way except the color. Nobody ever believes me when I say that but many of the 2005 were formed in the same lots as the 2004 and finished in the new model year colors. The 2007 is in my opinion the best RockeTech FP ever built. The design changes improved the durability with only the itty-bittiest change in performance but the biggest improvement was to minimize the "buzz" when contact was off the sweet spot. Great bat!

The 2008 design moved to a different cap configuration and the barrel end collapsed a little more than the previous design. That shrunk and moved the sweet spot toward the hands and deadened the performance toward the end cap. We thinned the walls to get the performance back but lost the durability we gained in the 2007 improvements. This coincided with the certification changes and played nicely into the new requirements.

Some of the 2013 bats were built after I left and I know changes were made to improve the durability without attending to the lost performance. The 2014 and 2015 bats were built in China (as are all new Anderson bats) and I have no idea if the performance or quality were maintained. I haven't been a part of the design and testing process; so, I dunno

FWIW I've got a 33" '07 RT in very good condition that I'm partial to, but if someone has a DD that would put it to game use I could be guilt-tripped into relinquishing it for the greater good.

The OG RTs were the best bats that my DD ever used. She hit 7 HRs as a freshman on JV. The next year the coach declared that it was too heavy for her and didn't let her use it. Her HRs went down considerably. He didn't understand end-loaded.
