My daughter accidently stepped on the handle of my radar gun and broke the parts that hold on the end cap. Any suggestions on getting fixed. I fear it will cost more to fix than replace if I send it in.

My battery compartment broke when I struggled to get it open. Then it wouldn't stay closed. I bought a roll of velcro. It was like tape on one side. There are 2 sides, one soft and one was rough. I taped the rough side onto the handle and then used the soft side to wrap around the handle to create a removable conector. It was obviously a lot thicker, but it was an easier removing the batteries after every use than if I had used duct tape.

I taped it and we will see how long the batteries last. When it goes I will have an excuse for a pocket radar then!
Are you leaving the batteries in it?
