So I picked up a 2014 Xeno 32/22 from softballsavings.com the other day. Was on sale for $199 + 20% off and free shipping ($159 out the door).

This is her first "high-end" bat...and have heard many times not to use them in the cage with dimple balls. Looking for a quality alloy bat in the same length/weight for her to swing in the cages over the winter. I know most (if not all) alloy bats aren't going to swing the same as the Xeno....but looking for something close.

Thoughts on the Anderson FlexZilla? Composite handle and alloy barrel. It's a -11, so it would be a 32/21....but everything I've read is that the anderson bats weigh in heavy. Thinking it would be about the same.

Maybe one of the older Louisville Hybrids? Can get one for a decent price on Ebay.

Thanks

My DD swings a Xeno as well. I bought a LS hybrid for her and it is quite end-loaded and heavy. So I picked up a used DeMarini half & half for her to use in the cage and on really cold days. It is the same weight (on the scale-not the label) and a "balanced" bat like her Xeno...

2014 and earlier Andersons are good matches for other Andersons, but poor matches for just about everything else. All bets are off with 2015 Andersons.

my DD swings a 31/21 2014 Xeno and I found her a closeout 31/21 Anderson Nanotek (2012, for $89) for cold weather and the cage and she likes it, says she can't tell much difference
I had originally scooped up two 2012 Rocketechs for this purpose a (30" and a 31") for $65 each. Older DD hated the end load factor. My 9 year old loved it (the 30"). It's her full time bat now

I picked up what looked like a brand new catalyst in the same length and weight for cold weather and the cage. If that bat ever looks hotter than the Xeno I'm switching them out. Oh, my cost 35 on Craigslist.

Ebay has quite a few Mizuno Whiteouts- picked one up for my DD for cage work. Pretty good bat, for the price (<$50). Her gamer is a 2015 LXT -9.

DD uses a Easton CV12 as her cage bat. We also put a Tuff-Sleeve on her composite when she's doing tee work with real balls.

I should have noted that the Nano (relatively true to weight and balanced, unlike the Techzilla and Rocketech) might be a good match for some bats. A would expect the Nano to give the Xeno a run for the money. Sounds like the lil one is going to be a beast!
