Just curious if anyone has had a chance to really put the new -11 Xenos through their paces. I bought DD one a couple weeks ago and it doesn't seem to have that Xeno pop.

-11 is a little light for a Xeno-I have one player who uses one but I can't
compare to another bat as she is new to the team. She has a very athletic build
but poor swing mechanics. When she hits the ball well, it travels a decent amount
but I would prefer to see her swing a heavier bat

They are great. We have used them quite a bit (our 10U teams use them a lot) and they are as hot as any other multi-piece -10 bat we have (LXT, Xeno, CF7, CF6, CF5, Mako).

Great bats for 8U, 10U, 12U and less physically mature 14U players. In fact, if I were coaching a 10U or first-year 12U team, the -11 Xeno (and CF) would be where I'd start with seeing what bats might suit my girls best.

Update on the -11 Xenos. DD now has approximately 400 hits on her new bat. It has really started to open up and get a good bit of pop to it. I had seriously considered sending it back and exchanging for a 2014 -10. I am glad I decided to give it a chance first.

The only players I think should use -11 bats are slappers who want a longer bat to get more plate coverage. Anyone who stands in the box and takes full swings should be in a -10 or less.

I don't agree with this, although I do adhere to the "get her to a 32" -10 as soon as you can" philosophy.

I think the "real" -11 bats like the Xeno and CF are fantastic for younger girls, smaller and/or less mature girls and anyone who can find a bit better mechanics and bat speed by dropping an ounce. We honestly see no difference in exit speeds between our -11 bats and our -10s when our less mature girls swing both. In fact, a couple of girls (2002s) still get their highest exit speeds with -11 bats, and I know one girl on our first-year 14U team that does, as well.

I'd say 90% of our 10U girls are using -11s and half of our younger 12U girls are, too. They are great for these age groups!

The whole point of the -11 bats, as LAS said, was to be able to give the slighter girls the same quality bat as the girls that could go with the heavier -10's. The girls that couldnt quite do a 30/20, 31/21 and so on can swing the same length and get the weight they can handle.
Its a better option than swinging the lesser quality bats just because the player cant do a -10. And obviously there is a huge market for
the -11. And also a reason the -11 sells way batter in the smaller weights (29/18, 30/19, 31/20) than it does in the 21 and 22 weights. Its a great option until the girl gets a bit stronger.
