    Default Cold Weather Bat

Breakin' the ice on the new forum so here goes

Getting to be winter here in the northeast and snow's on the ground with windchill close to zero, which means winter leagues have started up. Frostbite isn't a real issue though, because we are playing inside - domes w/ turf and another facility w/ a full clay IF and limited OF. Even so, game temps are in that troubling low to mid 50s F range and I hate to see kids using their $$$ composites and have been generically recommending something metal in a similar length/drop or another composite that won't be badly missed if it blows up. Balls are stored warmer so that helps some, but...

Any specific bat recommendations would be appreciated. Girls are first year U16 in a U18 HS league w/ up to respectable pitching (couple NLIs for low DI and DII).

Hope its warmer where you are!

    Regards - Greenmonsters
