Hey everyone, I am on AMAZING bat overload. I think I saw one with thermal grip warmers. OMG.

DD is 12, 13 in August. Tall at around 5'9" we are working on her swing pretty hard... and she is learning.

I think her bat (1 year old or so $100 Easton Aluminum big box store bat) is getting a bit small... so I might have to get her a new one... I need some advice on a dependable, durable bat for this summer's all star season, and beyond.

$200 or below, down to chase a last year model or discontinued bat on the interwebs... dont need the newest flashiest... just want something that will last, and get every ounce out of her swing. I would love to hear from you guys, where you would go if in this boat...

CF6 from Homerunmonkey. $219 less coupon code SPRING20 (20% off) puts you well under $200.

Don't think you can do any better.

Try to find a 33" Easton FP11SY10 on the web. Should have the new stamp and be had sub $200. I have a used one but it is already spoken for. They are very nice balanced bats.

Very good suggestion, as is a new CF6 at closeout prices.

You may also want to look for an Easton Synergy Speed SRV4B on the web. It should be just under $200 and is built to last for years, getting hotter and hotter all the time.

I think a 32" or 33" bat would be fine. Normally I'd say 33" at her height but she is just 12 years old and a 32" should be fine, as well. Especially with the Eastons, as they will feel heavier than the DeMarini.

Louisville Slugger Catalyst. 10 years old. Either yellow or sky blue. It is great. I give them away when possible and I just handed a large 10 YO, my own bat. 32, 22 - but she is 5'6". Don't pay over $80.00.

We use a 2012 Xeno 33" drop 9. See the same in college a bunch, as the paint scheme gives much of it away.

Been a great bat. Still hot today. Great power hitters bat. The players who always want the newest, hottest bat, have nothing on us, as the better bats were made a few years ago before they tightened the standards.

I would suggest getting her to try some different bats of her teammates during BP to see what she likes and what size is the best fit for her. If she takes hitting lessons I would also solicit input from her hitting instructor. As for price, you can find some great deals on Ebay or at a used sporting goods store (Play It Again, Boomerang, ect). You can also find new bats online for @ $200.

There are a lot of last year model bats on clearance now . If possible I would let your Daughter swing as many of them as you can lay your hands on before buying one for her . I know of at least one shop here locally that demos bats for a nominal fee and if you buy from them they put the money you spent demoing bats towards your purchase so you may look around your neck of the woods for something similar . My experience with my DD is that no matter how awesome of a bat I think it is she will only swing one if she likes it .

That reminds me , I need to find a new LXT for her to swing .... LOL
