Thread: Where can I find wide-width cleats?

My 12u daughter is complaining that her big & small toes are hurting during practice. The sides of each toe are what are bothering her, usually during running & conditioning. I've looked online, albeit not much, for a wide-width option. Some advertise that they do sell them, but when I go to click on the option, the WIDE feature isn't offered.

Anyone know of a brand/place where I can order these non-metal cleats?

Go to a "field shoe," for conditioning and running. I don't advise wearing softball cleats during that, anyway. Try Boombah.

She pitches at the start of practice. Then when the rest of the girls show up, they warm up and do some sort of conditioning. Then they break into their groups...whether it be hitting/fielding/etc. Then at the end of practice, they do more conditioning. Usually this is one day during the week. The problem lies with having time to change in and out of her shoes/cleats...without holding everyone up. If that makes sense.

Ringor has a wide cleat in molded and metal with or without a pitching toe.

My DD's nickname in HS is "Boats"; she wears a size 12W lady's Ringor cleat with pitching toe. They fit better than any other cleat, they are tough as nails and Ringor guarantee's their products.

You could have her try men's cleats. The standard width for men's shoes is a C versus a women's standard of B. It can make a big difference in the comfort level.

You will probably have to order them online, and I would suggest you try Ringor. They are great cleats, especially for pitchers, but they are heavier than most other brands and are pricey. I would not buy them for my DD until her foot stopped growing, which was her second year of 12U.
