I am considering buying a lightly used (maybe 150 swings) CF8 Insane off a friend. Selling it as it's bit too big and heavy for his DD. Probably get it for around $150-$175.

Looking for comments from people who have this bat, how is the performance and durability? My DD is currently swinging Xeno Plus but has used Demarini CFx Insane bats in the past, and she was considering going back to them. Think we had the CF4 and CF6 Insane bats in the past.

Should we stick with the Xeno or go back to the Demarini?

Both really good bats. I would say whichever she prefers, I doubt there is much difference in performance between the two.

One of those will fit her swing a little better and that's what she should swing.

My DD swings a 31" 21 insane. She has been swinging it for about a year and has held up well and has plenty of pop. When I was comparing bats. It was between xeno and insane. In my opinion there wasn't much difference between the two. The xeno seemed to have a end load feel and seemed a tad bit heavier. Even though the insane is endloaded. It is not a heavy end load. Hope this helps

FYI you can buy a new in wrapper CF8 insane with warranty for slightly more than that price. depending on the size you need .
I can't comment on the swing as my kids don't like end loaded, but I do hear that its a "nice endload" not too heavy

DD liked CF5 insane better than her CF6 insane - all end load 33". Moved up to 34" CF8 Insane in college and thought it was better than CF6 and more like CF5. She's a double triple kinda hitter. For what it's worth her younger sister 14U went from CF8 to CF9 (not insane) and she went from bench bottom of order to new team 5th and finally 3rd. If she can get a couple swings in and liked it that's probably best way to know. Leant CF6 insane to friend moving in to travel at 13 and she broke it so getting anything new with warranty does have some advantages... a good deal is only as good as whether DD will use it and love it.

My DD has been swinging the CF8 Insane for about a year. One travel ball season and lots of cage time. She LOVES this bat. Has thousands of swings on it and still pops.

Passed on the used bat because saw that new bats are coming down on pride and can get the warranty. Other reason is we were thinking about trying the CF9 balanced to see how it feels. A girl on our team just got new balanced CF9 so hope to get some swings on it.

I have a CF9 that was just opened and hit a dozen softballs. 34/24 for $210, free shipping, & includes receipt if needed for the more than 300 days of warranty remaining.
