Dd had a teammate, almost set national hr record, was big and extremely strong, now hitting D1 homeruns. She would swing a 33/23. It's player preference...when you can hit 250ft consistantly with a 23oz bat, only reason to go heavier is because the player likes the feel. My kid likes -9 and -8 bats, except for rockettechs I don't think she gets much more batted ball speed than if it was -10.

I agree with RHC....DDs teammate set the state record with a 33/10. She's a big girl too in her second year of D1
