My DD needs a new glove per her coach, needs to be light and fit a small hand. Her birthday is 6 days before the cut off. So she is always the youngest one on the team. Thinking about the Akadema Reptilian. Any other recommendations would be great. She tried the Wilson A600. But it is huge on her

Per JAD's comment about sounding like a broken record and recommending Vinci, I definitely would say Vinci for your daughter in this case. I think they have the snuggest hand stalls of any glove company out there. Take a look at the model ME024 for a light 12" Vinci.

I like the limited more than the mesh for Finger stalls, I feel they mold a bit better and fit a bit more snug. I would go for a BV-1929. Weighs the exact same as an ME024. Send me a PM if you want a price for either glove.

Hey I know the 1929 is a great glove with a huge following here but you're saying a 12" mesh MEO24 weighs exactly the same as a 12.5" all leather BV-1929? I would have never guessed that......I suggested the MEO24 because she's going to be a first year 12U player with small hands which suggests she may be a small girl? 1929 seems like it may be pretty big for her?

Never held an ME024. The BV-1929 is a great glove that plays like a 12". DD's is 3+ years old and still lays open on its side. I highly recommend it. Just don't let a dad put it on. It will stretch out the finger stalls.

I double checked with the office before I posted as I wanted to be sure - but they both weigh around 21 ounces - the BV-1929 is closer to a 12" glove then a 12"5 on any given day. The mesh, from my experience are not quite as snug as the leather, and the leather really molds to the fingers. I also agree with Jdaddy, no big parent hands to break it in at least in the finger wells.

I agree with you about the leather finger stalls being snug, both of my DD's Vinci's have dual welting for that very reason, but don't the mesh series gloves have leather finger stalls? And no one puts their hand in my DD's gloves, especially me!

You might also take a look at the Akadema ABJ74 - 12 inch. My daughter had this glove when she was about the same age. She has a small hand and it worked well for her.
