Ok peeps about to pull trigger on the Louisville lxt plus or cf9 both 29/18oz. ,my dd likes both of them so now I am looking issues with the bats and ,maybe one I should stay away from. I have come across some bad reviews about lxt coming apart. Has anyone on here had issues with either bat

Back on the dirt...
Drop -11 CF's have a history of cracking but they have great pop right away. Most I have seen that broke are 30's and some 31's.

I have not been many LXT's (only one on our team and she just got a new LXT+ I believe) but I have not seen any breakage. That said, I'd go with the -11 cf9 if I was buying right now. They swing lighter IMO (and weigh less on the bat weight database) and unless she is a big kid or a straight up power hitter, I think she will like the results.

Fortunately my DD has never had a bat break on her. Her first 3 composite bats where Demarini's(CF4, CF5 Insane, CF5) and next 2 were LXT's. 2014 32" still kickin' and her 2016 33" about a year old still rippin'. Now I am trying to determine if she needs to step up to the 34". Standing at 5'9" and 145 lbs I think she might be ready. I don't think you can go wrong with either one but it really is player preference. In a recent trip to the NE I noticed that the majority of the players were swinging Demarini's, but back home the majority are swinging either Xeno's or LXT's. Regional bias I guess.

Both are great bats. Which one is "better" is completely subjective. Based on the size you are looking for, I'm guessing your player is at the smaller end of the spectrum, and breakage becomes way less of an issue. Also, if you buy new from an authorized dealer*, there is a 1 year warranty. Both LS and Demarini do a very good job with taking care of warranty replacement issues, if you do have a problem.

* DFP'er CoreSoftball20 is HIGHLY recommended. His prices are awesome, his service is excellent...and he's a really good guy, too! There is a long list of DFP'ers who use Core as their "bat guy". I'm about 6 or 7 bats into our relationship, and couldn't be happier.

DD is on the smaller side (12yo 75 lbs, 4'11") and has always swung a -10 LXT. Started with a 30/20 and is now at a 31/21. She loves her LXT. Says it swings light.
The majority of girls on our team swing Demarinis. We have seen 5 drop 11s break this spring. All 30/19.

If she can swing the Demarini 30/20 I would go that route. Have her swing one first, don't be scared of the 20 oz the Demarinis feel really light.
