Need to get my daughter a new bat for fall season. She is 15, 5'2 & 125lbs, combination of speed and power and a high level player. She currently is swinging a 32/22 Demarini Insane end loaded bat. Swung a 33/23 and her initial feeling was that she preferred the 32, but some of that could be just getting used to the extra inch. Got me thinking if it would be better to stay at the 32 and go to a drop 9 or go to a 33/23 - looks like Demarini only makes a -9 in a balanced bat - haven't looked but does anyone have a recommendation on -9 end loaded bat? She has always preferred the end loaded bats over than balanced, but have no problem experimenting some. Is there any data that says one is the better way to go (more pop, exit speed, etc.) or is it simply player preference?
