Well, unfortunately one of the few bat companies still specializing in making one piece bats has now been absorbed by Easton.

Easton claims Combat has been losing them money and needed to discontinue
the brand. Nothing about their own overproducing and over shipping to some big
stores that went under. Easton really needs to clean up their house the right way, this wasn't the right way.

Easton will put their name on the Maxum but that's it.

That's too bad. Easton really makes a nice bat. But I agree on the over production. You can get new Easton Makos dirt cheap on the secondary market.

When you give stores way more bats then they can pay off, you have a problem. Especially when the product doesn't sell.

Its nice to play big boy and get 100K in bats, but when product doesn't
sell and mapp drops and you still have 75K in those bats laying around
and they are selling for half of what you paid...not a good place
to be in.

Big reason why we passed on Eastons this year. Let other stores take
the beating. I already have old Eastons to try and sell for half of what I
paid. Don't need more.
Also, as I said before...reps/salesmen are ruining the business.
